A Bit About Yellow Class!
Nov 12th, 2006 by admin
Yellow Class has 32 children - five Year 1s, fourteen Year 2s and thirteen Year 3s.
We have a lovely big classroom with a large carpet area and our role play corner this term is a Library, with boxes of Fiction and Non-Fiction books, and sofas to sit on. Plus a basket of cuddly little cats and dogs and bunnies to have on our laps as we read our books!
Through the back door have our own little playground for our skipping and ball games at playtime. After play, we like to watch the pied wagtail and the crows picking up the biscuit crumbs and apple cores.
Our chosen artist this year is Vincent Van Gogh. We have a display of our paintings and pastel pictures of sunflowers in the corridor, inspired by his famous paintings of sunflowers. We had real sunflowers to paint too.
On the opposite wall is our display inspired by our trip to Manchester Airport when our topic was Transport. On a wall in the classroom, there are photos of Yellow Class children dressed up as pilots, air stewards, air traffic controllers and other people who work at the airport.
